There's a very good reason why eren is acting like that, it's a lot deeper than what you said. Amazing plot twist. There was clues to what's going on with him a few episodes ago.

Eren didn't just become any lovely little villain with edgy attitude.

He earned the pole position #1 for being "the most evil man alive",
caused by his worst possible objective, to "clean the world".

I saw right in season 1 what Micasa failed to see: What sort of evil person he could become - in that moment when he made his decision to destroy every last Titan on this planet.
But back in season 1 and all through the whole 4 seasons after that I didn't mind it, as long as he directs his wish for destruction towards Titans and not Humans or any other being that is not a Titan.

I waited until the dub was completed. Utter patience.

1) did Historia offer to have Erien's baby?
2) this season was enough blood and death it brought back memories
3) Mikasa & Anji both look like guys, off & on, is it me, why?
4) why didn't Erien take his time,
i) replace & plant new memories to the citizens of his home island to avoid civil war?
ii) remain within the island and discuss with the military the plans going forward?
5) it was an excellent season. One of the best plots anime series, period.

Everything will make sense early next year in the final part. The plot twist was genius. Complete mind fu*k. They already gave you a hint with the attack titans power. But more than likely you won't figure it out though. You will understand why eren flipped out and turned super emo. All the people mad at eren aren't gonna know how to feel about eren lol. That's what's so good about this story. You think you know something and boom!. Something happens to make you not know what to really think anymore. This story is deeper and more complex than it seems. People are still going back and forth about eren now. Been like 2 years and folks still debating. The creator of AOT did a good job.

He isn't able to control ymir, he just told her she is nobodys slave and that he should give him all her power to destroy the world. Now that she isnt a slave anymore she doesnt care that he wants to replace or plant new memories. Also eren probably still has to stay in contact with zeke and i would guess he is being forced to not move so if he turned human and started dicussing plans within the island zeke would probably be able to break free and try to do something funny

I can't wait until the final season part 17 about a decade from now when it concludes.
